Design and build

At 186 grams with an aluminum frame, a plastic back, and Gorilla Glass on the front, the Pixel 9a is lighter than most of its mid-range peers while retaining a full IP68 water-resistance rating, a genuine rarity below $600. The design was flattened this generation to match the rest of the Pixel 9 family, though the bezels around the display remain noticeably thicker than on the pricier Pixel 9 and 9 Pro.

Display

The 6.3-inch P-OLED panel runs at 120Hz and reaches a genuinely bright 2700 nits at its peak, which is a step up from most mid-range competitors and close to flagship territory.
